Terms and Conditions
These terms set the ground rules for using the Braga AI Builders website and participating in its community features.
Last updated: 14 July 2026
1. About these terms
These Terms and Conditions apply to the Braga AI Builders community website, including public posts, comments, votes, member profiles, invitations, bookmarks, event information, and support features. By using the site, you agree to follow these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the site.
Braga AI Builders is a local community operated by community organizers in Braga, Portugal. It is not an employment service, professional association, AI provider, or emergency service.
2. Eligibility and accounts
You must have the legal capacity to accept these terms. If you are a minor, use the site only with the involvement and permission of a parent or legal guardian where required by law.
- Public content may be browsed without an account, and some participation may be available anonymously.
- Member accounts are invitation-based and use passwordless sign-in links. Keep access to your email account secure and do not let another person use your sign-in link.
- Provide accurate account information and keep your profile current.
- Do not create accounts or use invitations to evade a suspension, rate limit, moderation action, or access restriction.
3. Community standards
Use the site to contribute constructively to the local AI community. You must not:
- post unlawful, fraudulent, threatening, hateful, harassing, or deliberately harmful content;
- share another person’s private information without a lawful reason and appropriate permission;
- infringe copyright, trade marks, confidentiality obligations, or other rights;
- impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation;
- send spam, manipulate votes, automate abusive activity, or interfere with the site’s operation;
- upload secrets, credentials, malicious code, or instructions intended to compromise people, systems, or data; or
- use anonymous participation to evade accountability for conduct prohibited by these terms.
4. Your content
You keep ownership of content you submit. You confirm that you have the rights and permissions needed to post it.
You grant Braga AI Builders a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, reproduce, display, format, and distribute that content only as needed to operate, secure, moderate, and present the community service. This licence ends when the content is deleted, except for limited copies in backups, content shared outside the service before deletion, or retention required for legal, safety, or discussion-integrity reasons.
Public content can be copied or shared by other people. Do not submit confidential information, trade secrets, personal data you are not entitled to publish, or material that would cause harm if it became public.
5. AI-generated information
Community members may share material created or assisted by AI. AI output can be inaccurate, incomplete, biased, or unsafe. You are responsible for reviewing what you submit and for decisions you make based on community content.
Nothing on the site is a substitute for qualified legal, medical, financial, security, or other professional advice. Verify important information independently.
6. Moderation and enforcement
Organizers may review, hide, edit the status of, or remove content; restrict features; suspend accounts; revoke invitations; or block activity where reasonably necessary to enforce these terms, protect people or systems, comply with law, or preserve the quality of the community.
We will aim to act proportionately, but we are not required to host any particular contribution. Serious or repeated abuse may result in immediate restriction. Anonymous participation is not a promise that technical anti-abuse records will be ignored.
7. Events and external services
The site may link to WhatsApp, event registration providers, GitHub, Buy Me a Coffee, social networks, or other third-party services. Those services have separate terms and privacy practices. Braga AI Builders does not control their availability, content, security, payments, or data handling.
Event details may change. Check the linked registration or organizer information before travelling or relying on capacity, schedule, or venue details.
8. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains how personal data is processed, including public and anonymous participation, browser storage, service providers, retention, and GDPR rights.
9. Availability and open-source software
We may change, pause, or discontinue features. We do not promise uninterrupted or error-free availability, permanent storage of content, or compatibility with every device.
The website is powered by open-source software, but operating this community service and publishing source code are separate activities. Open-source licences govern use of the code; these terms govern use of this hosted community site.
10. Disclaimers and liability
The site and community content are provided on an “as available” basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Braga AI Builders does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, fitness, or reliability of user content, event information, external links, or AI-generated material.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful, including liability for fraud, intentional misconduct, or other rights that cannot be waived. Subject to those limits, the organizers are not responsible for indirect or consequential loss arising from reliance on community content, third-party services, or temporary service unavailability.
11. Ending use and deleting an account
You may stop using the site at any time. Members can use the account controls available in settings or contact the organizers if they need help with access, correction, or deletion.
Deleting an account may not remove every contribution immediately. Some content may remain de-identified as “Former member” to preserve existing discussions, and limited records may be retained where required for security, legal obligations, legal claims, or the rights of others. See the Privacy Policy for details.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms when the service or legal requirements change. The current version and update date will be published here. Where a change materially affects members’ rights or obligations, we will provide additional notice where reasonably practical.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by Portuguese law. This does not remove any mandatory consumer or data-protection rights that apply to you under Portuguese or European Union law. Please contact the organizers first so we can try to resolve a dispute informally.
14. Contact
Use Report a Bug on the second line of the footer for questions about these terms, account issues, or reports about content. State the purpose of your message clearly and include an email address if you need a private response.
